HD6870 ROM Flashing worth it over HD5770?

I have HD5770 (DVI + 2 mDP) and working fine.

I have XFX HD6870 being used in PC/Hackintosh and thinking about using this card.

Is this worth Flashing ROM?

I've been reading thread about this and you can just install this card and it will work but no boot screen also, see DVD player doesn't work. Does ROM flashing fix that issue? (I know you see boot screen) but is it worth spending $ to flash and use over my HD5770?
