Hello all,
I recently got a new Aluminum unibody MacBook. Its been great. I also purchased the DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter so I could use my 3 year old secondary Dell 22" widescreen monitor.
All has been well, but I tried to watch a movie from iTunes on it last night and got an error message stating that my protected media could not be played because there was a non-compliant display device attached. Unplugging the monitor allowed me to watch.
WTF apple, was this new requirement made clear anywhere?> Is there anything I can do to circumvent the HDCP requirement--use VGA, etc?? (I'm trying to not get a new monitor here). Anyone??
--Thanks
