I have a 1 TB external HDD that I use to store documents. It mounts and is recognized immediately on old MacBook through USB port. I have it plugged into a HooToo connected to power but the HDD is powered as well. It is not showing up. I have checked external HD is shown in finder, restarted, unplugged replugged, checked disk utility, and plugged into old Mac to verify mounting. I don’t have a USB to TB3 only cable but that is all I can think of. Any other suggestions? My old MacBook is old do I need to change something?

Disregard it mounted right up after removed from old MacBook. Maybe it wasn’t ejected properly last time.
