Hi guys,
I'm using a 27" 2013 iMac, OSX 10.9.5 and a 3TB Lacie External HDD as my main file storage.
I bought a cheap USB3 extension cable, so I can put the HDD away from me (noise), and it kept ejecting with no reason whatsoever, causing the "HDD was not ejected properly...". I don't want my files/HDD to get damaged, so I ditched the USB3 extension cable straight away, and bought a proper one at the local store (yesterday). All good.
Today I connected another USB3 HDD straight into the iMac to backup some stuff from the Lacie. After a few minutes the Lacie was ejected again for no reason!!!! DAMN!!!
Any ideas of what could cause this? Is there a way I can get a report from terminal telling me what happened?
Thanks
