Does putting the HDD I took out into the cd bay void anything? And if it does and I need apple care will they know?

How do you plan on putting the HDD in the optical bay? I bought cheap caddy from Amazon for $14. Technically, only replacing the HDD and RAM don't void the warranty. Therefore, moving it would void the warranty, as would removing the SuperDriver to make space. However, if you are careful, Apple might not notice/care if you replace the SuperDrive before taking it in for repairs.

Yep, it's voids your warranty. Most folks that do this keep the ODD to bring the MBP back to stock configuration prior to going in for service. You'll encounter problems/resistance if you seek service with an HDD in the ODD SLOT. You can purchase AC within the first year of ownership with no problem.

They will notice and they will care.
