Hi everybody,
I'm looking for a replacement drive for my unibody MBP and getting confussed by the fuss in the makers websites.
WD announces having WhisperDrive, so HDD's are quiet and low power consumers, Samsung counters with SilentSeek and NoiseWard... Hitachi and Toshiba only show raw numbers of performance...
So, will the manufacturer/brand of the disk make any difference?
On the other hand, years ago I was told that the Apple drives are custom built, and besides the Apple logo on them they have special firmware for the accelerometer-stops-drive-on-fall-thing.
Is that true?
I'm sorry for my english
