I recently upgraded my internal HDD from a 320 to a 500. The installation went extremely smoothly, reinstalled my late 2009 leopard discs, Snow leopard, and then Lion.
After installing Lion, there was a screenshot on my desktop that I needed, so I dragged it into my HDD icon. There was a pop up saying "The item can't be moved because the HDD can't be modified. I can authorize it, but I don't want to have to type in my password every time I move a file around. I also have to "authorize" the hdd when I move a file to the trash.
Any tips? I don't want to reformat my HDD or anything because everything was working extremely well with 10.6.8. I don't see why there should be a problem with 10.7.
