Is this information available anywhere and I am missing it? I think that I am going to go for one of the low end MBPs if I can change out the HDD/RAM at will.

I finally did have a Mac need service, and I am a little reluctant to get a laptop and immediately gut it if it violates the warranty.

Very Good point does this spell the end for user upgradeable parts, with the new battery?

I wonder about this as well. I am selling my 09 White Macbook to get the new MBP 13 with FW800. It will match up better with my Mini which has the same FW800. However, I always upgrade my HD and RAM so I need to know if it's still as simple as in the White version.

Cheers,
