I don't think that this is normal  ( sorry for Czech, but this time it should not be a problem :) )

Is there some way how to switch it to 3Gbit? (I'd like to change HDD to SSD , for HDD is 1.5Gbit enough )

Looks like it SHOULD change automatically - but for sure - Is there someone with 2008 MBP and SSD? ( Screen is NOT mine, I've found it on Apple Discussion)
thanks

could you do a magic black test and post the speed here? so we can see the actual speed of the drive with 3Gbit?

There was a thread about this a while back. From what I took from that thread is if you don't have a SSD, that negotiated link speed of 1.5 gigabit doesn't mean anything and wouldn't make it a difference if it was 3 gigabit because you're using a platter drive and not a SSD. Again, that was an old thread from a while back so I could be wrong on the information.

you're getting 3 gb/sec which is the is the correct speed for your computer. I have the late 08 pro with the same SSD and I get the same speeds.
