HDD Swap 1.83 Core Duo to 2.16 Core 2 Duo

I tried searching but didn't see anything.

I have a 1.83 Core Duo and 2.16 Core 2 Duo. My 1.83 has all my music, programs (that I don't have install disks anymore), and my docs. I want to get Lion and wanted to know if I can swap hard drives between computers? I think it will work fine but let me know if there is anything that I should be aware of. I have back up drives so minimized risk of loosing data.

The drive swap should work but Lion no longer can be hacked for Core Duo (since Developer Preview 2).

I should have made it more clear. All my stuff is on my 1.83 and I wanted to take that hard drive and drop it into my 2.16, and then upgrade to Lion. Currently have the same version of SL on both. Not trying to get Lion to run on my 1.83, I know it won't.
