Hi all, Ive seen post people asking w imac or powermac.
But I have a 800mhz g4 12in ibook w an 250G HDD running 10.5, i recently recived a 14in G4 Ibook 1.42ghz w a 60 G hdd w 10.4.

Question is can I swap them out so the 14in has the larger hdd w 10.5 installed and the smaller has the 60G w 10.4 with out having to format or reinstall osx.
Will the machines recognize the hdd's w osx and not create harware conflicts.

Thanks, just trying to keep the nicer g4 running a bit longer on the cheap.

Yes, that will work i did the same thing i put a emac HD in a Powermac g3 (B&W) and it booted just fine. it sell work fine especially being the HD was in another ibook. just put in your HD and turn your ibook on :) it does not matter what Version of OS X it has as long as it is 10.5.8 or below being your ibook is ppc :)
