HDD swap from Macbook to Macbook pro

I'm about to obtain a Macbook Pro unibody mid 2009, 2.53 GHz. I currently have a macbook 13" late 2006, 2 GHz.
I would just like to change the hard drives between the two. Do you guys think it is possible? Will the pro start anyway?
BTW I have the latest version of Snow Leopard on my macbook.

Yes, the HDD swap will work, as the OS you have on that MacBook includes all drivers for the 2009 MBPs.
Btw, if the HDD in the MBP is bigger, you could just clone the old HDD to the new HDD via CarbonCopyCloner and the use of Target Disk Mode.

Yeah I know that, just wanted to make sure I had all the required drivers.
My macbook has a 750 GB hd, while the pro just 250!
