I have a July 2007 MB with 80GB. I am going to swap it with my 2.5" external HDD taken out of its enclosure. It is 160GB. How do I swap these two disks while still somehow keeping my music, photos, and backups (from the external)? I have Leopard, and the external is my Time Machine disk. I only have the Tiger restore discs, and am without my Leopard family pack install disc. How do I pull this off?

Find a friend with Leopard discs (if you got it legitimately in the first place), and hopefully that friend also has an external hard drive that you can move all of your stuff over to.

If there is another external hard drive, you can move your data to it, and then clone your hard drive to your own larger hard drive using SuperDuper (I dunno if Time Machine can do this). Basically you need a third hard drive to shuffle stuff to.
