Hello I have a mac book pro 13' and I want to add an external hard drive using the thunderbolt port. Unfortunately, my MacBook doesn't have an VGA port so I have to use Apple's thunderbolt adapter if I want to use an external display.
I know that a thunderbolt port supports video and data output. But I don't know how this can work at the same time. Will I need an adapter? One for the video output and the other one for the data output? (I don't have the hard drive, yet. I'll be getting the HDD, which supports thunderbolt, on Christmas Day but I don't know any other details about it).
