Ok well I was going to do a fusion drive on my macbook pro with a 250gb Samsun SSD, but it won't unmount. One forum said to "Repair Disk Permissions" so I did that and now I can do anything with the SSD everything is greyed out. I can't erase, or do anything! Argh anyone have a clue what I can do here to get this ssd to unmount so I can do a fusion?

Don't think it will let you unmount the drive it has booted from....that is like taking your own brain out and expecting yourself to then be able to operate on the removed brain....you wouldn't be able to function, hence the advice to boot from another drive (obviously not the HDD either if you want to merge it with the SSD into a Fusion).

What operating system are you using? You could always try to boot from your recovery partition if you have one.
