Anyone know if this will be or can be supported by Apple on the current machines? I think I read that it's possible via firmware, but does anyone know Apple's history on this? Also, if upgradable, anyone know how far back a model could be to have it supported?
Reason I'm asking is because I'll be picking up an HDMI 2.1 TV this year, potentially even 8k, and want to ensure I can get the most out of it with my next laptop, or if I even need to upgrade. Thanks!
