Neither, as both are overpriced. An adapter from eBay for less than 10 bucks does the exactly same thing

I'd look at monoprice.com. They're probably about half the price or less there.

Listen to this guy. Best balance of price and reliability in cables/adapters, IMO.

thanks for the suggestions, but i am wanting either of those mostly because they are one piece, and not an adapter + cable. currently, monoprice does not list any complete adapter cables that carry audio. best they can do is adapter + cable. if that will be a better option, i'll do it. but, i am looking for simplicity.

I simply got a separate cable and adapter so I could use the cable with something else should I need it.

I got my Moshi HDMI adapter brought over from the US. My understanding at the time was that it was the only adapter that carried audio as well. If that isn't the case, I don't mind since I got a VGA adapter for my Mac, 4 HDMI cables and 2 iPhone car chargers from Monoprice.
