Hi all,

First post here :)

I recently Just got a hdmi switcher box with audio extraction. It connects to my MacBook Pro (vias usb-c to hdmi) and my Switch to my HP24fh monitor and pair of speakers.

For the Switch the audio extraction and display work fine. But for my laptop only the display works. The sounds keeps coming though my laptop speakers.

+ If I right click on my speaker icon there are no options to change output device.
+ In system Preferences -> Sounds -> Output the only output device is the internal speakers

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you :)

One thing happened for like 3 mins about an hour into trying to fix this:
When I was away from my computer the display suddenly when to mirrored and I could put the audio output on something called SWITCH which I still have in my display profiles and the audio extraction to my speakers worked (possibly got confused with my nintendo switch?). This lasted three mins till it reverted back to normal.
