Hi,

I'm wondering if I can save some space and some money by getting the Apple HDMI dongle along with a 3rd party HDMI to VGA adapter. Will this allow the MacBook to properly set resolutions and such through the display settings? Or should I just plunk down the dough for both the Apple video output dongles?

I usually need just VGA for presentations but sometimes might need to connect to HDMI.

Thanks.

Yes i find Apple genuine accessories too limited for their price
Go to Amazon, there are many great adapters with HDMI/DVI/VGA, i got one myselft and it works without any issue

Thanks. Hopefully, you've helped save me $65 or so after all is said and done.
