Does the latest MBP support HDMI input?

Trying to have a camcorder live feed into the MacBook to either livestream.com or iMovie.

Trying to avoid buying an analog USB to Component capture device if at all possible.

It has no native video inputs whatsoever. If you need video input, you'll need a USB or thunderbolt capture device.

1. Nope, and neither does anything Apple is currently producing apart from the iMac which can serve as an external screen, I don't think it can capture anything though. (in fact, 95% if not more laptops have no video inputs whatsoever).

2. Not gonna happen, sorry.

In that case, anybody have any recommendations for a USB input capture device?

Would rather have everything in one cable (HDMI).
Could I do a HDMI -> USB adapter?
If so, any recommendations?

Would hate to use a Canon Vixia HD using component to then a live stream..

Searching google for "hdmi usb capture" brought this up as one of the very first links.

Maybe you could try a search of your own?

If you read my post completely you will notice I asked people who had experience with such.

I know how to do a google search, and I know how to find products.

I was directly asking for items that were currently being used elsewhere with good results.
