HDMI issue rMBP..No Audio to HDTV

Sorry if this has been asked before, However I cannot find a solution to my problem.

Recently pucrchased rMBP. When I hook up to my Sony Bravia HDTV to use with Plex video is working, but the audio is not. (Yes, Ive chaged to HDMI in system settings) I'm thinking this is a software issue?

The funny thing is I have gotten it to work so I know it does in theory, but most times it doesn't. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and if so, has there been a definitive solution to fix it? Or do I just wait for apple to patch it via software update?

Ive had the same issue. All I did was play with it, turn the audio setting from mac to tv back and fourth, re open the video app, etc. Then it started to work.
