HDMI Not Working after latest Sierra update

I have had no problems with my 2015 MacBook air when i connect to my Marantz stereo which connects to my external LG display via thunderbolt hdmi adapter but since the latest Sierra update it does not connect or if it does it connects for a few seconds and stops and starts again. Ive checked the cables and even bought a new Hdmi connector does anyone have any advice on how to fix this
