HDMI or display port?

Hey,

I've just purchased a 2012 mid spec Mac mini. I'm also going to purchase a dell ultrasharp u2412m monitor.

My question, is it better to use hdmi>dvi cable or mini display port to display port cable to connect the monitor?

I don't think the dell has hdmi in so not sure which would be the best. The mac resolution of the dell is 1920x1200

Use the MDP > DP route, as the HDMI output of the 2012 Mac mini is known to have problems.

I have the ultra sharp connected via mini dp > dp. The cable was about £6. It worked right out of the box and looks stunning.

I don't like hdmi at all.

I'd use the thunderbolt port unless you need it for a thunderbolt peripheral. I'm using this cable.
