HDMI output doesn't work on snow leopard?

So I have whatever the latest Snow leopard is 10.6.4 or something ( I am at work so don't have it with me) anyways when I use my video output to HDMI it works fine on Windows 7 through bootcamp, but if I use it through leopard it does NOT recognize my tv. For some reason I remember it being fine on previous versions of leopard. It is strange it only works on windows 7 perfectly fine,so it is a big pain.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is this a known issue? I tried mroogle.
