Hey, I bought myself a nice HDMI to DVI cable.

My expectations might be a bit to high maybe.

I was expecting my display to look similar to the TV. Mind you it is a 42 inch plasma.

The display is not really that close at all. I did mess with the TV menu and messed with the sharpnes, contrast, brightness, color, and tint, but could not really get it that close. I then tried clamshell mode to see if maybe devoting more VRAM would help, but it did not. I ajdusted to a lower resolution to see if that would help, however it did not. I also mirrored which did not help.

Any suggestions? Or am I expecting to much? How successful are other people?

So I tinkered around for a big and decided to change the profile under the color tab for the TV output on my computer. I changed it from the recommended TV setting to a generic RGB setting and it made things much much nicer.

Hope this helps anyone else, though I doubt it will since it appears I am the only one that ever had a issue lol.
