HDMI to MBP no sound!

so i bought this

video comes out perfect but no sound out of the TV , it comes through the laptop, anyone know a fix for this?

wrong section bud.

if you have a 2009 model and not the newly refreshed 10' MBP no sound will come out of your system.

The newly refreshed MBP's has this new mini display port output which will have sound via HDMI

If you do have a 2010 MBP, you need to go to System Preferences > Sound > Output > and pick the tv in the device listing.

Also, if you have a mid-2010 you need to verify that the cable passes audio. A lot of the cables/adapters do not.
