HDR photos look amazing on Apple computers. I'm amazed at how little Apple has promoted their display technology, they are way ahead of the industry on this. Those 1600 nits of brightess on the latest screen are incredible when used with the right software.
Adobe just added support for HDR Output in ACR v15 (Photoshop supports as well in 32-bit mode):
This name is confusing as it's the same as HDR for tone mapping to old screens - this is an entirely different display technology requiring hardware, which Apple already supports widely.
