Hello,

I'm running a DVI-HDMI cable from the second output on the 7300GT. The primary screen displays fine except when the HDTV is on. Once the HDTV is on and the displays are mirrored, the primary screen has two black bars on the top and bottom, while the picture on the HDTV is slightly cutoff.

I have a Dell 2407WFP as my primar and a Sammy 4665F HDTV.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like it's working properly. Since you have mirroring on, the primary display would be trying to match the resolution of the external display, which in this case is the HDTV.

Well the picture on the HDTV is cut off on all sides.

I was hoping OS X could set both screens at their native resolutions. Is this not the case?

If they are mirrored they have to be identical resolution. And the monitor is not the same resolution as the TV.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case, I guess I'll run it as a separate screen then.
