Anybody know of a free app that will convert .ts to mpeg or anything OTHER than .ts?

Handbrake doesnt seem to recognize .ts streams. What I have is a bunch of streams I want to connect to one file. VLC craps out whenever I try. It actually says that it's not designed for such purposes.

Did you try VLC, I'm pretty sure it handles .ts streams, although it's not so friendly with it's transcribing interface...

Yes I did. Didnt work very well. It will PLAY them all together but it doesnt combine them. Unless I'm doing something wrong. Which could very well be the case. What I ended up doing though was using "VideoReDo" on my PC (yuck). I hate doing that as I do all of my video stuff on my Mac and use the PC for games. But what's done is done.

Thanks for your help.

OK, good, you've sorted it out. But for info, you can get VLC to actually convert the .ts to another format. You can, for example convert them to mpegs, which you can then join together using your favourite mpeg utility...
