Hello, just got my iPhone the other day and have been very impressed with it except for the headphone problem. Because of the recessed socket, I can't connect my iPhone to my car stereo via the line-in input, and I have the same situation with connecting my quiet comfort 2 headphones. I know of iPhone headphone adapters like the Belkin one, ut the belkin one looks terrible, like an antenna coming out of my iPhone, are there any better solutions?

Also, I have an iPod ready car stereo. One that is meant to be able to work with the iPod interface so that i can control a connected iPod through the car stereo, will it work with an iPhone, or is it limited to just last generation iPods? Thanks!

I use my Shure E3c headphones with my iPhone. I didn't want to use an adapter so I simply trimmed off some of the depth off the molding around the connector of the headphones. Now they fit down into the abnormally deep connector on the iPhone.
