I have a few sets of headphones that have a jack to thick to fit into most cases that are on the market for the iPhone, so I was wondering what a good high quality headphone adapter would be. I've used a bunch of flimsy ones that consist of a thin wire, where the thin wire seems to break very quickly. Does anyone know of a small yet substantial adapter?

I use this one once in a while and I really like it. Haven't been too hard on it, but it has held up well.

If you want to just skip the cable altogether you could try this one. I haven't tried it, but the reviews seem mixed.

I've gone through a couple of those flimsy wire adaptors too. This Monster iCableLink has lasted me a while now, with its stiff but flexible centre section. Unlike some of their headphones and 24k HDMI cables, it was reasonably priced too. It is not headset mode compatible though, for that you need a TRRS adaptor with 4 conductors (3 'rings' on the 3.5mm plug) such as Juice Pack headphone adaptor from Morphie.
