Hi guys,
I have a problem with the headphone port on my new Macbook Pro 13 inch 3,3 GHz Intel Core i7 with Touch Bar. I'm running 10.12.4. The L-R balance is completely weird. On low volumes, I have a sound on both L and R channels. When played loud, there's hardly any output on the R channel. I've checked balance in the preferences, checked audio/midi panel, removed all unused core audio drivers, reset PRAM, etc.,... I even ran the laptop from an external drive with iOS 10.12.3, same problem. Of course I tried different headphones etc.
I would think it's a software error somewhere because there still is sound coming from the R side, but only on low volumes. For example, in a Cubase project on stopping a running project, I can hear the reverb tail on both sides. Weird.
