My internal speakers work correctly. My computer recognizes when I plug in and remove headphones, its just not playing out of the headphones. Any ideas? I've tried external speakers and two pairs of headphones, I don't know what's next besides taking my baby in :(

and as soon as you unplug them it starts playing?

that does sound like a logic board problem

yep right when I unplug the headphones it goes back to playing out of the internal speakers. Is there a link where I can check to see if my computer is still covered? If there is a problem I will need to purchase an extended warranty, right? How much will the cheapest one run me?

when did you buy your computer?

i believe you can only buy apple care up to a year after you purchase, during that time though the computer is still covered

and if it is covered they will repair that for free

It was definately less than a year ago. That's good news to hear then! Guess I'll take it in this weekend. Thanks for your help :D

Will I have to set up a meeting at the apple store in my local mall or can I just take it in?
