I had my iPhone 4 out at a bar last night and a friend noticed there was light coming out of the headphone jack. Sure enough, there is light leaking out from the screen in the headphone jack. Is this normal or should I take it in to be replaced? Thanks for the help.

It's normal. It's a compact design and placing a seal to avoid little leaks like that would have added bulk.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)

Look at it as a feature. Kinda like like an illuminated key switch on your auto. ;)

I heard it was there for two reasons....number 1 being so you could find the jack to plug your headphones into at night and number 2 so that the genius bar could more easily tell if there is water damage.
