Long story short, the headphone jack on my first gen ipod touch is broken (left channel is dead)

I went to iRepair near bathurst and the guy said for $50 he can make it so it's mono playing through both

my two questions are, is there anyplace i can get it the headphone jack replaced entirely?

question two: is there an adapter that allows me to use the dock connector port to plug in my headphones so i dont have to pay for the repair?

I don't know about a repair, but you can bypass the headphone jack entirely. Most audiophiles using iPods do so. You will need a line-out dock (LOD) and an amplifier, since the dock bypasses the iPod amp.

You can go expensive or you can go cheap. If you really want to get into it, go to www.head-fi.org.

I am also having the same prob i can't hear anythink in my right head phone i'm going to take my pod up to the apple shop and see if they can fix it.
