iPod touch headphone jack

say you plugged the iphone headphones into the itouch, would the microphone work? or would it not be connected to anything...

Mic won't work. No contact in the Touch's jack for it. I can stick a stereo headphone jack into my Instinct and listen to music, so I'm guessing you can stick the iPhone headset into your Touch and listen as well. Not sure why anyone would want to though.

well i was just curious, cuz i hear about how you can have a voice ip on a touch...but what good is that if you dont have a mic?

If you plugged in the iPhone headphones to an ipod touch, would the button work? Play/pause, etc?
