I'm looking for a pair of headphones in the $150-200 range. I've never really had a good pair before and I'm looking to get one to go with my iMac. I do some gaming and I listen to all genres of music. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks

Skullcandy Aviators, great sound for the price in my opinion.

DO NOT get beats, overpriced tat.

I would definitely recommend you the Bowers & Wilkins P3. I've been rocking them for over a year now and they are just awesome.

At this price point, the Sennheiser HD 598s are rely great. I have one and love it.

While I like my Beats and think the audio quality is good, I'm by no means an audio expert and it has a quite high hissing sound if you hear music at a very low audio level.

No beats.

On top of what everyone else recommended audiotecnica m50. Priced around 120. Best sub 200$ cans out there.

Pretty good, but not sure that they are the "best" according to the reviews out there. I would recommend the AKG K550.

I posted cans you can get for sub 100$ that out perform or match that of 200-250$ cans.

btw head-fi rates m50's 4.5 out of five.. and your K550's 4 out of 5 (220$).

You will NOT find a better headphone for the money with m50's.

I choose my senn hd598 since they are a good all around headphone for everything. But as a result of this, they don't sound as "fun."

If you want a closed, boom boom, headphone I would go with the Beyerdynamic DT 770.
