Headphone socket on new Air / USB HUB

I currently use a set of headphones that has two jacks - one for the audio and the other for MIC.

I've read the socket on the Air is combined MIC and audio - is this the case? I have the new 13" arriving tomorrow..

Also, what USB hubs does everyone use on the Air? Any recommendations?

The socket on the air is indeed a combined socket similar/identicle to those found on smartphones.

Since I've never tested it, I couldn't say with any real degree of certainty if it would work. But I'd be surprised if it didn't.

Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm that they've used something like this before.
