Does the buzzing sound go away on battery power?

Are you using the grounded (3 prong) lead that came with the computer?

If you use an aftermarket power adapter, you will get buzzing. Just wanted to put that out there in case you or anymore else is using one.

I have the same issue. It goes away when you disconnect the Magsafe charger from your MacBook Pro. It may also go away if you plug your charger into another power outlet instead.

In my case, the noise was caused because I had a dimmer plug connected to the same extension lead as that connected to my charger. Disconnecting the dimmer plug removed the plugging noise.
