every time i insert my headphones in my mbp when turned on i get a weird noise, sound but the voice is all dissorted. have to go to sytem preferences and in the sound menu..there i have to change the output balance to left or right all the time..anybody know whats wrong and how i can fix so i dont have to adjust it every time

Yeah, Headphones not playing properly!

This is happening to me at the moment. Basically the headphones are plugged in and there are no lows in the sounds, it sounds like a crappy viral sound all digital and tinny. Then when you move the balance slider in the headphones menu in sound in system preferences, the sound seems to play all right? Im unsure if this can be fixed with some sort of driver reinstallation for the sound, because it plays find through the speakers?
