Surprisingly all of the threads for headphones are for "in-ear" types. I need something that hooks behind/around my ear for when I'm on the treadmill as reaching up to reposition/reinsert the earbuds is a serious pain.

I'm hoping to get something for under $50 as this is really the only time I'll be using them. Anybody have any suggestions?

Just get yourself foam tips, by Comply for your in-ears. No more falling out and much more comfortable plus extreme noise isolation.

These are the ones I bought - they are a work out dream come true, as they just stay on your ears and never need to be adjusted!!! They have a nice long cord too so you can put your ipod on the eliptical or treadmill rather then in your pocket. ;)

Plus, the sound quality is pretty good, compared to the Apple ear buds. They are still no Shure or Bose, but hey, they're only $15 bucks on sale! :)

Thanks for the suggestions everybody.

I ended up picking up a cheap pair from Radio Shack that hook over the ear. They don't sit as far into my ears as I'd like but I don't have to worry about them falling out or having to readjust every five seconds.

Just in case anybody else is interested-

Klipsch makes a series of headphones (Custom 1,2,3) that both go in the ear and hook around the ear. They really stay in place well for running.
