I was wondering if there's a way or a program that indicates whether the headphones are connected or not. I use a MacBook, and I often need to plugin headphones. I would be easier if I could see on my screen if I plugged them into the right connector (yea, it's hard sometimes :p).

I was thinking about a growl notification that they're connected/disconnected, or an icon in the top bar...

Any ideas?
