I have a early 2012 macbook air, and maybe I never noticed it before, but when I have headphones plugged in, one side is stronger than the other side. The music is louder coming out of that one headphone...

Does anyone else have this?
Is this worth fixing even? I know Apple will charge like 200 to fix it anyways...:(

Headphone balance changes by magic

I've found a few times that the balance keeps shifting, despite me reseting it to the centre. Probably a bug.

I also had the headphone balance problem and found that the preferences setting was indeed biased to the right.

I know for certain that I have never changed this setting.

It's magic.

btw - ensure that your headphones are actually plugged in otherwise you won't see the headphone balance option
