Headphones - proactive siri

So when I plug in my headphones (I'm a music fanatic and listen most of the day) I see the music app faded icon in the lower left of the lock screen. How do I access it to auto-start the music? Also, does proactive siri also do this for bluetooth headphones each time they connect??
