I bought my iphone 3g in Feb. I never used the headphones much for the ipod portion. I have been lately and noticed only when I use the headphones the music sometimes stops or skips. Any idea what these is and can i fix it easily without having to send it to apple to pay a gizzilion dollars for some stupid part?

Have you got the switch wet at all? It seems to be vulnerable to any moisture, including workout sweat. I got a Belkin Shuffle adapter and use it with my own earbuds which allows me to have the switch down at my belt, not up by my ear.

If you're not worried about remote controls, you can just use any headphones.

I don;t believe it got wet - I am very careful with my phone. Other headphones even do the same thing. Weird thing is its only when the ipod portion is playing the music. Any other time it is okay - for instance when I use it as a wireless. I dont know what to do :(
