Alright so, I am going to be buying a new headset for my Imac due to my current usb mic being nearly dead. It currently only works in the right ear when the wire is just positioned right. I use a usb adapter to connect my headset to my Mac due to the input not being strong enough to pick up the mic when plugged into the input jack.

Anyways, my question is, can I use this adapter that came with the mic and just pick up any mic, or do I have to pick up another usb mic that comes with an adapter?

Hope that was clear enough on what I was asking, if not I will explain more in detail.

It all depends on the connection ports the mic you're buying has. If the both mics have the same connection ports, then the current USB adapter will work. If not, chances are you'll have to buy a new one. Your best bet is to go to a specialty electronics store, (Such as Best Buy) where the staff will be happy to help. Hope this helps!
