I have been using the SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset for a while and had no problem with it on the xbox or my PC, now I'm making the change to my MacBook and I want to do commentaries. I wondered why my mic quality was so bad, the reason was because it didn't actually register the mic, when I go on to Audio MIDI Setup it says that my Headphones are register for the output but is not for input. There is 'Line In' option or anything like that and it doesn't give me any other options than the built in mic, If it helps I use a standard Y-Splitter to connect my headset to the MacBook.
