hi,

are there any health apps that can track movement from the apple watch and remind you to get up and walk for a bit so you can achieve for example 10.000 steps a day?

Apple's health app is not that "pushy" it reminds me like once a day to get up.

any recommendations?

thanks

Something like Streaks will work?
I use it to get reminders to not bite my nails, get 2x2 asthma inhaler or walk 6 floors a day. It lets you set particular hours to get reminder if goal is not finished or do it automatically (I prefer set hours). But sometimes it’s delayed to finish goal.

Btw 10k steps a day is a myth, the more important is to exercise regularly in other world- move butt :)

“It all began in 1965 when the Japanese company Yamasa Tokei began selling a new step-counter which they called manpo-kei (ten-thousand steps meter). They coupled the product launch with an ad campaign — "Let’s walk 10,000 steps a day!" — in a bid to encourage physical activity. The threshold was always somewhat arbitrary, but the idea of 10,000 steps cemented itself in the public consciousness from that point forward.”
