This may be a relatively obscure question to most on here, but I’m deaf and I have a cochlear implant which I can connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth in the hearing devices section of the phone settings.

The problem I’m currently having is, I’ve upgraded from an XR to a 13 Pro and the volume difference is pretty crazy. On the XR, having music playing at, say, half volume, was decently loud but on the 13 Pro, I can barely hear anything at this volume. I’ve got to crank it right up to near the top to get decent loudness. What could possibly be the reason for this? I tried on the music app, YouTube, Spotify, etc, all the same. The actual speaker volume is fine (if anything the 13 Pro is louder than the XR). The issue only arises when connected to my hearing device via Bluetooth.

I checked how it is on my girlfriend’s 12 Pro by connecting my hearing device to her phone and her phone was pretty much the same as my XR.

Is it a fault of some sort that it is significantly quieter on my new 13 Pro? Or can I fix it somehow? (I’ve tried all sorts of settings, nothing has helped so far).

I can’t even get it exchanged at this point, as my mobile service provider no longer stock iPhone 13 Pros (which is what I really wanted, not the 14 Pro). I’d have to return it and get the 14 Pro, probably, which I didn’t want to do.
