I normally wore a Garmin Forerunner 220.
Replaced it with an Apple Watch S7 last week, the OS is up to date.

I want to set a alerts for fthe upper and lower ranges of beats/minute while I exercise.
All I can find is an alert if I am resting, I don't even know if the watch does this but it seems like a no brainer.
I don't want to under or over exert myself.
How do I set it up?

Is there a good how to on heart health monitoring?

Found it.
I may not have been available on os8.
I upgraded to OS9>Workout>select workout>tap ... edit icon>in the "time" tile tap on the pencil edit icon>tap alerts.

Maybe I don't understand how apple writes directions but I had to do a bit of figuring out for this one myself.
